"Traditionally, at this time of year, the 'Queen of Spring' contest brings together the most beautiful representatives of the student body. This time, 12 charming representatives of the region's universities are vying for the crown of the regional stage. By completing various tasks, they will demonstrate their ability to present themselves on stage and interact with the audience, their communication skills, knowledge of etiquette, sense of humour, grace, appearance, intellectual and creative abilities, and artistic skill," the BRSM noted.
Spectators can expect a spectacular show. The participants will strive to showcase themselves in a fashion show and swimwear presentation, an intellectual competition, a creative performance, a general choreographic staging, and a thematic video presentation. In addition to the crown winner, the first and second "Vice Miss Spring" will be determined. The most beautiful and talented girls will represent the region in the national final in Minsk. An online vote is also underway on the city's internet portal to determine the queen of audience choice.
"In preparation for the regional show, the contestants participated in a series of events and activities over the month. For example, on February 24, together with partner organizations – the 'Colt' and 'Tarzan' clubs – they prepared and held a charity event for the pupils of the Vitebsk orphanage. Children aged 12-14 spent time with the contestants, playing laser tag and navigating a ropes course, and chatting over tea with delicious pastries prepared by the contestants," the BRSM added. In addition to rehearsals and filming of video presentations, the girls were treated to a professional photoshoot and participated in the broadcast of the show "Evening Vitebsk" on the regional TV channel. A television version of the project will be shown on the "Skif" TV channel.
The organizers of the regional contest "Queen of Spring-2017" are the regional committee of the BRSM, the VSTU, the main department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the regional executive committee, with the support of partners and sponsors.
