At the republican border customs clearance point "Urbany" in Brслав district, during the inspection of a Scania truck driven by a Latvian citizen, customs officers discovered cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps in the officially declared 5 tons of toilet paper, which were following from Minsk to Riga according to documents. In total, the illegal cargo amounted to about 350 thousand packs, the preliminary cost of which is estimated at almost Br920 million.
The truck with the goods has been seized. An investigation is underway. -0-
