Employees of the Vitebsk Customs, together with pupils of the 5th "V" customs class of the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 12 of Vitebsk named after L.N. Filipenko" and employees of the Vitebsk branch of RUE "Beltamozhservice", visited the Vitebsk City Museum of Internationalist Soldiers. The event was dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers and the 30th anniversary of the museum.
The participants familiarized themselves with the museum's exhibition – photographs, letters, archival documents, and personal belongings of veterans who served in Afghanistan. The Afghan War (1979–1989) left a significant mark on the history of our country, affecting the fates of more than 30,000 Belarusians.
An excursion, an educational talk about the importance of preserving historical memory, and a thematic quest prepared by the museum staff were organized for the schoolchildren. In conclusion, customs officers and schoolchildren laid flowers at the "Pain" monument to internationalist soldiers, paying tribute to those who fulfilled their duty.
