On December 31, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Open Joint Stock Company "Vitebsk Grain Processing Plant" invested Br7.8 billion in production development in 2011, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent.
The funds were directed towards the purchase and installation of grain storage facilities with a total capacity of 5 thousand tons, and a grain cleaning and drying complex KSZV-40G with two vehicle intake streams for grain. The domestically produced equipment was commissioned by the start of the harvesting campaign, which allowed the enterprise to increase its grain intake and drying throughput. Additionally, new additional grain storage capacities for 10 thousand tons are currently being accepted at the enterprise.
The construction of new in-house grain storage facilities is aimed at reducing the diversion of the plant's working capital for their lease from other enterprises. Thus, the commissioning of 5 thousand tons of grain storage capacity has allowed the Vitebsk enterprise to save Br20 million monthly, specialists noted.
In 2012, the modernization of the Vitebsk Grain Processing Plant will continue. The estimated volume of investment in fixed assets will exceed Br6 billion. The main task for the next year is to carry out the technical re-equipment of the compound feed shop and the packaging section.
From January to November, the Vitebsk Grain Processing Plant produced products worth Br110.4 billion, which is 28.1% higher than the same period last year. Flour produced during the reporting period amounted to 34.6 thousand tons, or 116.3% of the same level in 2010; groats – 2.3 thousand tons, or 149%; compound feeds – 96.7 thousand tons. Sales profitability was 4.6%. Labor productivity was 130.6%.
The enterprise was founded in 1953. It was corporatized in 1997. It specializes in the production of flour, groats, and compound feeds. The product range includes over 40 items. The average number of employees is about 550 people. It also has two auxiliary farms, "Dobrinskoye" and "Sorochino," and an agricultural branch "Luchesa," where a total of about 460 people are employed. -0-
