11 March, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk concern "Meat and Dairy Products" intends to complete three major projects in 2013, the concern informed a BELTA correspondent.
Two of them are related to the creation of new cheese production facilities in the region, which are scheduled to be commissioned by August 1. Thus, OJSC "Postavy Dairy Plant" is constructing a new workshop for the production of hard cheeses with a capacity of 20 tons per day. Commissioning of the Czech-made equipment is planned for May. The construction of the facility is proceeding on schedule without disruptions.
OJSC "Glubokoye Dairy and Canning Plant" is implementing a project at its Braslav branch. A number of separate auxiliary facilities (reception and washing departments, boiler room, pumping station, compressor shop) and the main production building are being constructed here. The latter is being equipped with a Spanish line with a capacity of 10 tons of hard cheeses per day and a Polish line with a capacity of up to 2 tons of soft cheeses per day. Commissioning is scheduled for June.
Another major facility is the children's food workshop at the Orsha Meat Canning Plant, which is currently undergoing reconstruction. All work on this facility is planned to be completed by September. The production capacity will be 10 million conventional units, which is 2 million conventional units more than the current production capabilities. The reconstruction will allow the enterprise to significantly expand its range of baby food and to start producing it in glass jars. Currently, the plant only produces canned baby meat in metal cans.
An important project for the concern is also being implemented at the "Production and Technological Workshop of Braslav" enterprise, where the canning production is being reconstructed and a technological line for preparing quick lunches using fish meat and vegetable raw materials (peas, pasta, etc.) is being installed.
The remaining projects planned by the concern's enterprises for the current year are mostly related to production modernization and are aimed at improving energy and resource efficiency, reducing production material intensity, and enhancing product quality, as noted by the concern.
The total volume of investment in fixed assets for 2013 by the enterprises of the Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products" is expected to be around Br1.7 trillion.
According to operational data, in January-February, the concern's enterprises produced goods worth Br982.1 billion, or 121.5% compared to the same period in 2012.
