On January 16, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Enterprises of the Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products" increased their fixed capital investment in 2011 by 33.5% compared to 2010, reaching Br315.5 billion, the concern informed BELTA correspondent. A number of large-scale projects were successfully implemented last year by the Polotsk Dairy Plant. The total volume of investments in production development at the enterprise amounted to Br17 billion. Thus, the plant commissioned a line for the production of milk and fermented milk products in PET bottles, an ultra-pasteurization unit for milk, and a line for the production of aerated curd products – creams, mousses, puddings, and pastes under the brand name "Panda". In 2011, 200 tons of new curd products were produced on this line. New lines for the production of glazed curd bars were launched at the Orsha Dairy Plant and OJSC "Moloko" (Vitebsk). The latter also installed equipment for the production of heat-treated yogurts, automatic filling machines for milk and beverages in Pür-Pak with caps, sour cream in Doy-Pack packaging, and a second line for the production of granular cottage cheese with a capacity of 2 tons per day. The total capacity for the production of this product at the enterprise is now 3 tons per day. The Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Plant commissioned a workshop for the production of dry demineralized whey and mastered the production of this product with varying degrees of demineralization (50%, 70%, 90%). A total of 180 tons of dry whey have been produced since the workshop was launched. Plans for modernization and technological re-equipment aimed at expanding the range of manufactured products, improving their quality, and reducing production energy intensity were also implemented by other enterprises of the concern, which allowed for achieving good production indicators, specialists noted. According to operational data, in 2011, the concern's enterprises produced products worth Br3 trillion, or 168.8% of the 2010 level. The share of innovative products in the total volume of shipped goods was 27.1%. The structure of milk processing in 2011 changed towards an increase in the production volumes of the most profitable and export-oriented products, and this direction will be maintained in 2012.
