Enterprises of the state association "Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products" increased their exports to the Chinese market by 2.5 times in January-October.

According to data for 10 months, goods worth over $11 million were shipped to partners from the Celestial Empire. Seven enterprises within the state association are certified to supply all dairy products, frozen beef and beef products to the Chinese market. In particular, in 2021, JSC "Postavy Dairy Plant" joined the list of accredited suppliers. The Chinese market is attractive not only for its capacity but also for its favourable market conditions. Thanks to these factors, the concern's cooperation with the PRC is planned to be increased both by expanding the volume of supplies and the range of products supplied, specialists noted.

Overall, the organisations of the state association have accumulated experience of cooperation with partners from more than 50 countries. The average annual volume of supplies to foreign markets exceeds $200 million. Meat and dairy processing enterprises are export-oriented, which reflects the established stable ratio of key items in the export structure. Cheeses, as well as dairy preserves, whole milk products, butter, skimmed milk powder, and semi-finished meat products account for the largest share.

The product range manufactured by the enterprises includes over 870 types of dairy products and over 1,000 types of meat products. The volume of milk processing is about 2.4 thousand tons of raw materials per day. Beef and beef products form the basis of meat product exports. The organisations' production capacities for beef allow processing about 58 thousand tons per year. Currently, the concern is implementing two investment projects aimed at increasing beef processing capacities, which will expand the association's export potential.

The Vitebsk Meat and Dairy Products Concern State Enterprise is one of the largest associations of producers of meat and dairy, flour and groats, fruit and vegetable, bakery and confectionery products, mixed feeds, premixes, and canned fish in Belarus. Its structure includes 142 economic entities, including 9 milk processing plants, 4 meat processing plants, 3 poultry farms, and 111 agricultural organizations. The Concern coordinates the work of seven agro-industrial associations established within the framework of Decree No. 70 "On the Development of the Vitebsk Region's Agro-Industrial Complex".
