November 4, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. RUP "Vitebsk Distillery "Pridvinye" will start bottling mineral water in glass containers in November, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The first trial batch of mineral water in glass bottles of 0.33 l and 0.75 l, with a total volume of about 500 dal, will be intended for certification. After obtaining the necessary documents, the enterprise will begin supplying mineral water in glass bottles to the republic's retail network. The production of the beverage in new packaging will not affect its overall production volume, specialists noted. Initially, the share of mineral water in glass will be insignificant, and then it will be increased in proportion to demand. The volume of investments spent on the implementation of this project (reconstruction of the workshop and acquisition of technological equipment) amounted to Br1.3 billion. In January-September 2011, the enterprise produced products worth Br90.3 billion, which is 148.4% compared to the same period last year. Profitability of sales is 16.7%. Vodka and liquor products produced in 9 months amounted to 1169 thousand dal (108.3% compared to the 2010 level), non-alcoholic beverages - 86 thousand dal (191.1%), cognac - 13 thousand dal (144.4%), rectified spirit - 947 thousand dal (102.3%). Investments in fixed assets for January-September amounted to Br15.3 billion, which is almost 4 times higher than the investment level for the same period in 2010. The plant was founded in 1898. The range of alcoholic products manufactured includes more than 50 items. Non-alcoholic beverages and mineral water are also produced. -0-
