The XXXII Open Festival of Author's Song, Poetry and Visual Arts "Vitebsky Listopad-2018", which will take place from October 18-21, will bring together musicians, poets and performers from nine countries, the forum organizers informed journalists, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Once again, the creative festival will be held in the cultural capital of Belarus. Among its participants, in addition to the hosts, there will be guests from Germany, Egypt, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine and Estonia.
The forum will open on October 18 with the presentation of the exhibition "Malei's Space" and a performance by the youth theatre "Koleso". In the central foyer of the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, works by the renowned Vitebsk artist Alexander Malei will be on display. A poetry tournament will also be held on the first day of the forum at Dukhovskiy Kruglik. Any festival participant or even a jury member can apply for the competition. Authors will read one poem of their choice, and the jury will select the five strongest participants, including the winner, who will be able to publish a selection of their poems in the Gomel magazine "Metamorphoses". In addition, during the festival, representatives of other magazines and almanacs, including those published abroad, will select their preferred writers and publish their works. For the first time, authors from the literary portal Stihi.lv will participate in "Vitebsk Leaf Fall".
During the competition days, the jury will determine the best participants in several nominations: "Poetry. Free Theme", "Poetry. Humour", "Author's Song. Classic (Singer-Songwriter)", "Author's Song. Alternative (Singer-Songwriter)", "Performance Skills. Poetic Recitation", "Performance Skills. Performance", and "Performance Skills. Vocal Performance". The laureates of all nominations will showcase their talents to the audience at the gala concert in the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall on October 20 at 7:00 PM. On this evening, the main intrigue will be resolved: the jury will determine the recipient of the festival's main prize – the special award "Recognition", as stated by the project manager Vladislava Tsiviki.
The "Vitebsk Leaf Fall" program also includes non-competition events. On the second day of the forum, October 19, on the eve of his anniversary, the bard Alexander Bal, beloved by the Vitebsk public, will perform. On the last day of the festival, a literary concert will be held, as well as a concert by poet and musician Mikhail Rubin.
