Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant (VMRZ) in 2019 doubled its investments in technical re-equipment compared to the previous year, reaching Br150 thousand, as reported by the enterprise's director, Viktor Masalov.
Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant (VMRZ) in 2019 doubled its investments in technical re-equipment compared to the previous year, reaching Br150 thousand, as reported by the enterprise's director, Viktor Masalov.According to him, last year the enterprise acquired two thermal treatment furnaces for parts, a press with a pressure capacity of 250 t, a lathe, and other equipment through leasing and its own funds. Part of this equipment will be used for the production of new products for the enterprise – universal discs with a diameter of 740 mm for heavy-duty soil cultivators ADS-6 of domestic and foreign production. The enterprise intends to establish the full production cycle for these discs within the first quarter.
"Currently, such parts are not mass-produced at domestic plants in Belarus. Meanwhile, they are already in demand not only in Belarusian farms but also in neighbouring Russia," the head noted. Currently, the plant produces discs with a diameter of up to 620 mm for AD-600 "Rubin" disc harrows. "More than 300 such machines are operating in Belarusian farms. At the same time, we see a growing demand for larger diameter discs and for heavier units, as the number of such equipment is gradually increasing," added Viktor Masalov.
He said that the plant pays increased attention to mastering new types of repair work and establishing the production of spare parts and units for machinery widely used in farms. Among the main achievements of last year, the director mentioned the repair of an imported seeder with a working width of 12 m and Deutz diesel engines (Germany). In addition, at the "Belagro-2019" specialised exhibition, the plant presented new models of agricultural machinery: a grain and fertiliser seeder with an enlarged hopper and a modernised disc harrow equipped with a double packer roller. In 2020, the enterprise plans to develop the design and manufacture a set of packer rollers with a working width of 12 m for soil compaction.
