On November 15, Vitebsk /Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. The Vitebsk State Technological University is implementing a project to develop case studies on Belarusian business using the case method (situation analysis method) and integrate them into the educational process for economic specialties. Senior lecturer at the university's Department of Management, Elena Alekseeva, spoke about the features and significance of the project in an interview with a BELTA correspondent. The project "Case Studies on Belarusian Business: Development and Implementation in Business Education Practice" aims to form a database of case studies on the operations of Belarusian organizations and their integration into the educational process. The case method is one of the main technologies in business education and is based on solving real-world problems faced by the management of companies operating in various economic sectors. Students are offered to study and solve a problem exactly as it is presented in practice. The method is designed to develop professional competencies of managers, such as the ability to systematize and analyze large volumes of information within a limited time, and to make decisions under conditions of risk and lack of information. The implementation of the project will enhance the adaptation of the education and training system to the changes in qualification requirements for modern specialists in economics and management. Furthermore, the project will facilitate closer cooperation between business and educational institutions to ensure that training meets the conditions of constantly changing labor market needs. The integration of the case method is planned for the 3rd to 5th years of economic specialties at the university. During the project, which is being implemented with the support of the Eurasia Foundation, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a republican database will be created containing case studies for various disciplines and training modules, and methodological materials for teachers on the use of case studies in the educational process will be developed.
