"Vitebskoblimushchestvo" is organizing an auction for the sale of shares in open joint-stock companies owned by the Vitebsk region for the first time with a reduction in their market value, a BELTA correspondent was informed at the committee.

The auction is scheduled for March 10 in the trading system of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange OJSC. The lot for sale is a package of shares in "Keramika" OJSC owned by the Vitebsk region, amounting to 26.47%, or 34,995 units. The starting price of the lot is set at its market value as of July 1, 2021, reduced by 20%, and amounts to approximately Br3.4 million (one share - Br96). To carry out a transaction related to the purchase of shares, a person wishing to acquire them must conclude an agreement with a professional securities market participant authorized to trade. The list of participants is posted on the official website of the exchange. The winner of the auction undertakes to reimburse the costs of organizing and conducting the auction, including almost Br13.3 thousand for an independent valuation of the shares.

"Keramika" OJSC is one of the oldest enterprises in Belarus, with its history dating back to private factories in the mid-19th century. The enterprise specializes in the production of bricks, tiles, and other construction products made from fired clay. The production capacity is designed to produce almost 30 million units of conventional bricks per year. In 1995, the "Keramika" production association was transformed into an open joint-stock company of the same name. In addition to the Vitebsk region, its shares are owned by one legal entity and 878 individuals.

On March 10, auctions are also scheduled for the sale of shares in Savings Bank "Belarusbank" OJSC owned by the Vitebsk region. The starting price is set at the market value as of July 1, 2021, reduced by 20%. Potential buyers are offered to acquire a package of approximately 0.09% of the charter capital (over 33.6 million shares). The starting price of the lot is about Br7.4 million (Br0.22 per share).

Shares of "Keramika" OJSC and Belarusbank are included in the list of joint-stock companies with the Vitebsk region's stake, whose securities have been designated for sale to potential investors at auctions or through competitive bidding in 2022. In total, the list for the privatization of communal assets includes shares of 30 enterprises.
