On September 12, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotov - BELTA /. Vitebsk CJSC "Medical Enterprise" Simurg" is preparing the first batch of medical products for delivery to Finland, Deputy Director of the enterprise Sergey Tetyuev told a BELTA correspondent. The preparation of a contract with a partner from this Northern European country is currently being finalized. It is planned to supply products to Finland that belong to the first (safest) class of potential risk, noted Sergey Tetyuev. In the future, the Vitebsk manufacturer plans to establish itself in the market of this country and expand both the range of products and the geography of supplies to the European Union as a whole. Today, about 60% of the enterprise's product types have CE marking, confirming their compliance with the requirements of the EU Directive on the safety and quality of medical devices. To expand the scope of application of such marking, including to products of the 2nd and 3rd classes of potential risk (the highest), the enterprise is preparing to undergo certification of the quality management system for compliance with the requirements of the ISO 13485 standard in an authorized body of the European Union. This is a specialized standard for medical devices, the implementation of which will enable "Simurg" to cover the entire range of manufactured products with marking and increase the enterprise's export capabilities in the highly competitive Western European market, explained Sergey Tetyuev. Previously, the enterprise supplied small batches of products to Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and Cyprus. This year, another new export destination for "Simurg" has become Turkmenistan, where the Vitebsk manufacturer has registered two products for gynecology. In addition, the enterprise has completed the registration of eight products in Kazakhstan and one product in Uzbekistan, expanding its presence in the markets of these countries. In the CIS countries, the Vitebsk manufacturer confidently holds its positions; Simurg's products have a stable reputation for European quality medical devices, which allows for a constant increase in supply volume. Thus, in January-August, the enterprise increased its export volume by 30% compared to the same period in 2010. The volume of product manufacturing increased by approximately 25%, with about 70% of products being exported.
