OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" will start mass production of protective suits for medical personnel from tomorrow, as reported by the enterprise director Vitaly Starikovich.

The company has previously produced medical clothing among other items, but under the current circumstances, specialists will commence sewing sets of disposable protective suits. The material for these suits is sourced from Svetlogorsk. "We plan to produce approximately 3,000 sets of suits per day. The products will be centrally supplied to "Medtekhnika" in Vitebsk, who will then distribute them to the institutions themselves," noted Vitaly Starikovich.

According to him, the enterprise currently operates on a single shift, but there is capacity in the workshop to accommodate up to 50 additional seamstresses. Ten trainees from the college will join in the near future.

Recently, local enterprises "Belvest" and "Energokomplekt" ordered almost 11,000 sets of special medical clothing from "Trud-Vitebsk". The companies decided to provide charitable assistance to the staff of the regional clinical infectious diseases hospital, where the suits are being delivered.

"Currently, Vitebsk OJSC "Znamya Industrializatsii" and KUPP "Vitebchanka" are also focused on the production of various protective equipment. We are all involved in this effort together," added the director.

OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" was founded in 1991. Its employees create a wide range of garment products. Today, the enterprise employs over 70 people.
