On March 23, during a working meeting between a delegation from Uzbekistan and the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Aleksandr Subbotin, opportunities for developing interregional cooperation and promising areas of interaction in the trade and economic sphere were discussed. These are intended to elevate the partnership between the Vitebsk region and the regions of Uzbekistan to a strategic level.

According to the Interim Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Belarus, Rahmatulla Nazarov, these include industrial cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, light industry, and the development of contacts in education and tourism.
The working program of the delegation from Uzbekistan includes visits to enterprises of the "Marko" holding and OJSC "Belvitunipharm".
