What is needed for an event to be bright, interesting, and memorable for the audience for a long time?
What is needed for an event to be bright, interesting, and memorable for the audience for a long time? An original script, great music, and, of course, the charm of the performers. Together with the hosts, the audience found themselves in the whirlwind of a festive event that impresses and lifts spirits. The competition, held this year by the staff of the Lepel District House of Culture at the Sloboda Center for Culture and Leisure, was no exception. However, it was not an entirely ordinary event. Each spectator felt like a guest of the "Agro-TV" channel. Hosts Olga Yakubovich and Dmitry Mikhno invited those present to participate in the filming of a popular TV series called "Battle of Agrotowns". In addition to the performers from Sloboda, teams from the Gorsky Rural Club, as well as the Stai and Polsvizh Rural Houses of Culture, joined the creative duel.
Before the start of the competition, the audience was presented with a wonderful exhibition "Treasury of Talents", where they could see unique works created by the skillful hands of masters. Paintings on glass, cross-stitch embroidery, bead compositions, fabric souvenirs, and other works impressed with their beauty. The acquaintance with the teams took place during the first stage of the competition "Agrotown's Visiting Card". The team from Gorki performed first. The rural performers told about their creative life to the music of the popular song "Today is a holiday for the girls...". The hall was filled with laughter when the team members presented their backstage life, how the preparation for the performance goes, when "everything must go smoothly".
The audience warmly welcomed the team from the agrotown of Stai with applause. The performers told about their daily lives in a humorous song. The performers from the Polsvizh Rural House of Culture impressed with their originality. The rural vocalists greeted the audience with a Belarusian folk song accompanied by the accordionist Alexander Mikhno, which was clearly complemented by a stage dance by Lidiya Gonchar. The performers from Sloboda impressed the audience with folk songs and a bright choreographic composition.
The hall was filled with joyful shouts during the chastushka contest "Wall to Wall". Folk refrains poured from the stage, and the audience could not contain their sincere laughter. After the first round, three out of four teams were selected as the strongest: Stay, Polsvizh, and Slabada. After the second round, the chastushka performers from Stay and Slabada entered into a duel. The victory was to be awarded to the team that knew more refrains. Two teams received an equal number of points.
However, the guests from the agro-towns are not only wonderful artists but also excellent cooks. The jury became convinced of this during the culinary competition "Autumn Fantasy". The sandwiches prepared by the team from Horak looked very beautiful and appetizing. With cheese, olives, capers, cucumber, sausage, and tomato, decorated with herbs, they looked not only appetizing but also took on interesting shapes. There were ladybirds and sailing ships. The sandwiches prepared by the team from the agro-town of Stay, made with crackers, dry sausage, tomatoes, olives, and herbs, also looked original. The dishes from the Polsvizh artists were also appetizing: fried bread with cucumber, sprats, and cheese. The Slabada cooks also prepared diligently for the competition. Pink flowers, arranged on a green meadow of lettuce and cucumber, were how the sandwiches made from a baguette, olives, black caviar, and herring, decorated with cranberries, were presented.
A fireworks display of songs, dances, and humorous miniatures took place in the final stage, "Homework". The employees of the Horak Rural Club prepared a wonderful concert. Alexandra Boyko, Natalya Bogdanovich, participants of the vocal group, and other artists captivated everyone with their singing. Cheerful games lifted the spirits of the audience.
The cheerful grandmothers from the agro-town of Stay, whose roles were performed by two boys, as well as Anastasia Strodova, Alexander Mikhno, and participants of the vocal group, delighted with their wonderful singing. The representatives of the Polsvizh team invited the audience to a cafe. Tatyana Mikhno played the role of the cafe owner excellently, and Leonid Zabobura played the role of the resourceful waiter. Mikhail Shaura performed a musical piece on the clarinet. Vitalia Kovalchuk and the participants of the vocal group "Veselitsa" impressed everyone with their singing.
A bright chord of the competition was the performance of the team from the Slabada Center for Culture and Leisure. The singing of the vocal group "Bliskavitsa", vocalists Svetlana Pridatko and Veronika Malyavko, was accompanied by loud applause. The singing was passionately complemented by the performance of the young participants of the choreographic ensemble under the direction of Natalya Tsyganova.
The performances by well-known local artists Iryna Busava, Ihar Vishneuski, Dzmitry Mikhno, and other performers brought many pleasant impressions to the guests.
Diplomas from the Department of Ideological Work, Culture, and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee for active participation in the competition were awarded to the teams of Horski Rural Club and Poŭsvižski SDC. Second place in the "Battle of Agro-towns" competition was awarded to the team from the agro-town of Stai, and the artists from Slabada became the winners of the game. Diplomas were awarded to each of the teams. The winning team, in addition to a Diploma, was awarded a cash prize.
A pleasant surprise was also prepared for the director of the Slabada Center for Culture and Leisure, Inesa Liabik, who celebrated her birthday on the day of the competition. To the applause of the audience, culture workers presented Inesa Ivanovna with a festive cake and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Sincere congratulations were expressed to the birthday girl and colleague Sviatlana Pridatka on behalf of the employees of the Slabada Center for Culture and Leisure.
The reward for the artists and spectators was the boost of excellent mood and sincere joy received from encountering creativity.
