September 11, Minsk / Ekaterina Markovich - BELTA /. The Vietnam Tea Association proposes to build a tea packing and packaging factory in Belarus. This was announced to journalists by the association's president, Doan Anh Tuan, at the Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum, which is taking place today in Minsk, according to a BELTA correspondent.
"Previously, Vietnam exported a lot of tea to the countries of the Soviet Union, but after its collapse, Indian and Ceylon tea began to be mainly supplied to the markets of these countries. People do not know now that we produce tea. Therefore, we are counting on close cooperation with Belarus and consider this interaction as a chance to enter the CIS markets and propose to build a factory in Belarus for packing and packaging Vietnamese tea," the head of the company noted.
Doan Anh Tuan emphasized that, despite the fact that the Belarusian market is quite small, it provides an opportunity to enter the markets of the Customs Union countries, and there are currently no enterprises for packing and packaging Vietnamese tea in Russia and Kazakhstan.
"There are no specific agreements with Belarusian partners in this direction yet, but we believe that this is a promising proposal. We are currently studying how much funds will be required for this construction and what the investment volume will be," added the president of the Vietnam Tea Association.-0-
