Switch on your low beam headlights!

In connection with the end of the academic year and the beginning of summer holidays, from May 25 to June 5, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct a special comprehensive event "Attention - Children!" across the republic.

The preventive campaign is designed to draw the attention of all stakeholders to the issue of ensuring child safety and to increase the level of responsibility of parents and drivers. For this purpose, during the event days, vehicle traffic in daylight hours must be carried out with dipped headlights or daytime running lights switched on.

A series of preventive measures for children and adolescents are planned. Special attention will be focused on conducting awareness-raising activities with adults.

Due to the mass transportation of children to recreation areas, it is extremely important to ensure the safety of young passengers by using child restraint systems.

On average, 60% of minors sustain injuries in road traffic accidents from May to September, with the majority of them occurring in the summer when children are left unsupervised.

Protect children, be an example of correct and safe behaviour on the road and in transport!
