Vladimir Terentiev: "Not only members of initiative groups, but also representatives of civil society structures are involved in the discussion of the draft program."

Vitebsk region has joined the discussion of the draft program of the newly established Belarusian political party "Belaya Rus". The document presents the political organization's position on the main development directions for Belarus, which it will advocate for, relying on the general public, maintaining continuity and improving the country's course towards building a social state.

Since February 28, the text has been available on the website of the public association "Belaya Rus", and a feedback system has been established. According to the head of the regional organization "Belaya Rus", Chairman of the regional Council of Deputies of the 28th convocation, Vladimir Terentyev, who is a member of the republican organizing committee, not only members of initiative groups but also representatives of civil society structures are involved in the discussion of the draft document. Labor collectives, the youth audience, veterans, and the expert community have also joined. For a political organization that positions itself as a party of the people's majority, it is important to hear a wide range of opinions to produce a result of collective creativity of the masses, noted Vladimir Terentyev.

According to him, it was emphasized at the meeting of the organizing committee in Minsk that the party will adhere to centrist views, and constructive ideas for interaction can be found in any political program.

The draft is structured in a traditional format and consists of a preamble and five sections describing the strategy of action on issues of political, socio-economic development, and foreign policy of Belarus. In the political sphere, it is necessary to ensure the inviolability of the constitutional system, the observance of constitutional rights and freedoms of individuals, and to form a politically active civil society. At the same time, one of the key internal party tasks is the formation of the party's personnel potential through systematic work with youth, creating social elevators for talented and active individuals who have gone through the school of youth organizations, noted Vladimir Terentyev.

In the economic sphere, the party adheres to the necessity of the state retaining control over key, strategically important sectors of the economy. Among the priorities is increasing state investment in the development of education, healthcare, science, culture, and sports as drivers of innovative development. "Belaya Rus" intends to support the institution of the family and the popularization of family values, as well as traditional religions of the country. In addition, the organization advocates for the preservation of bilingualism and the development of original Belarusian culture.

— At the same time, the party should not substitute for the state apparatus; constructive interaction aimed at the effective development of Belarus as a socially oriented state must be built, — believes Vladimir Terentyev. — Before the constituent congress of the BPP "Belaya Rus," scheduled for March 18, serious work needs to be done on the draft text. The document defines the principles of the party's activities, so it is important that the voice of the region is significantly heard in its formation.
