On July 19, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. The regional tours of the BRSM family agricultural project "Master of the Village-2012" will be completed by August 15. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the project coordinator, the second secretary of the Central Committee of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", Albina Sychevskaya. The competition is attended by married couples under 31 years of age and their children. Families that have won district competitions, which started on June 1, will compete in the regional tours. The final will take place during the republican festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki-2012" in Gorki, where six families – winners of the district and regional stages of the competition – will come. As Albina Sychevskaya explained, the criteria for summing up the results of "Master of the Village" have been changed this year. "The availability of a family's personal farmstead, the volumes of meat, milk, and other agricultural products sold to processing and procurement organizations will be additionally taken into account," she clarified. In addition, the work of adult contestants in agricultural organizations in their specialties, active participation in the public life of the team, and the families' victories in other sports and creative competitions will be taken into account. Every year, "Master of the Village" brings together hundreds of young families living in rural areas and working in agricultural organizations for at least three years. The competition was first launched in the Gluboksky district in 2007. Since 2008, the youth initiative has been implemented in all regions of the country. The main goal of the project is to retain young families in rural areas, enhance the prestige of agricultural professions, popularize the traditions of the Belarusian village, and foster a healthy lifestyle among young people. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union acts as the organizer of the republican family agricultural project "Master of the Village" with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and OJSC "Belagroprombank".-0-
