On February 12, Vitebsk will be filled with romance as it celebrates Valentine's Day. The Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore has prepared a memorable and unique celebration for all those in love, as reported to BelTA by the cultural institution. The event's programme is sure to help participants add colour to their relationships and fully express their feelings. Couples in love will compose declarations of love using newspaper headlines, act out scenes from "Love is..." bubble gum wrappers, and learn to dance the tango and waltz. Young men will also have to answer exclusively female questions, while their partners will answer male questions. The engaging event will be punctuated by a brief lesson on different types of kisses: Hollywood-style, Japanese-style, and Eskimo-style – after which passions will ignite anew as participants demonstrate their newly acquired skills. Audience members will choose the winners of various contests by applause, but no couple will leave empty-handed – they will receive souvenirs and complimentary tickets to the city's theatres and the House of Cinema, the museum noted. A special bottle will be placed in the museum's Blue Room for the duration of the celebration, where couples can drop a valentine with a heartfelt wish, sealing the act with a kiss. Those who are certain of their feelings and have decided to formalise their union will be able to do so on the spot: although not official, they will be gladly issued an early marriage certificate at the museum that day. -0-
