4 November, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Head of the Belarus President Administration Vladimir Makei views relations between Belarus and the EU with optimism. He stated this on 3 November while participating in a discussion at the opening of the 13th Minsk Forum, BELTA correspondent reports. "I view relations between Belarus and Germany, Belarus and the EU with optimism. I am convinced that tomorrow will be normal and bright for us," said the Head of the President Administration. According to Vladimir Makei, "we are destined to live together," and the awareness of this is very important. "We must calmly and progressively develop dialogue in all areas," he said. The Head of the President Administration noted that Belarus would like to adopt the positive experience of the EU, and Germany in particular, in reforming the economy, developing new technologies, and receive assistance in training personnel for the economy in Belarus. Emphasizing the importance of developing economic cooperation, Vladimir Makei noted that economic changes in the country could also lead to changes in political life. However, according to him, these events should not be rushed, so as not to bring negative results. Vladimir Makei is confident that there should be no revolutionary decisions, and society must mature on its own for any changes. "We need to calmly maintain dialogue with each other, and then we will reach the goal that each side sets for itself," the Head of the President Administration summarized. -0-
