6 September, Minsk /Anna Kot - BELTA/. The introduction of differentiated electricity charges for the population in Belarus in 2012 is not planned. This was announced to journalists today by the acting Deputy General Director of the RUE "Belenergo" Nina Grechikha, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. For the implementation of a differentiated payment system for electricity supply services by the population, if such a decision is made, extensive preparatory work is required, emphasized the representative of RUE "Belenergo". "We must create a database regarding registered consumers, regarding information exchange. This, of course, requires significant development, as well as the refinement of necessary documents that will form the basis for the introduction of these tariffs. In our opinion, it is simply unrealistic to introduce differentiated tariffs this year," said Nina Grechikha. Whether differentiated tariffs will be introduced and when will become known after public discussions, which will be held in Belarus until November 1st of the current year. "Their results will be submitted to the government for discussion and final decision-making," said the representative of RUE "Belenergo".-0-
