The appearance of utility bills in Belarus may change. This was announced on March 20 during the program "Glavny Efir" on the "Belarus 1" TV channel by the Minister of Housing and Communal Services, Alexander Terekhov, according to BELTA.
Alexander Terekhov stated that today the bills-notifications are overloaded with information and ultimately disorient consumers. In this regard, utility bills are planned to be simplified. "We have made a decision and there is such an instruction in the draft decree - to simplify the bills-notifications by May 1," said the head of the relevant department.
Regarding the appearance of the utility bill, he noted that the reverse side of the bill may be used. "The first page would contain information that is important to the payer, with the main amounts. And on the reverse side, for those who want to understand in more detail, there would be consumption volumes, dynamics, including tariffs, and the level of cost recovery for individual housing and communal services," the minister noted.
