On Friday, January 23, one of the mechanized units was put on combat alert as part of a large-scale combat readiness inspection of the Armed Forces of Belarus.

A group of employees from the State Secretariat arrived and presented an order signed personally by the President. The key feature of the inspection is that Alexander Lukashenko directly puts military units on combat alert, bypassing the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff.

The objective is to see an objective picture and the real state of the troops.

On the second day of the inspection, several more units are involved in putting the mechanized unit on combat alert.

The State Secretary of the Security Council, Lieutenant General Alexander Volfovich, inspected the readiness of the units involved in the inspection.

In accordance with the received task, one of the mechanized battalions marched over 50 kilometres across rough terrain under conditions of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups. The mechanized battalion units coped with the task. They marched to the designated area within the established timeframe and concentrated at the specified time. Deployment in the concentration area, preparation of armament and equipment for firing, and firing from standard weapons were also carried out.

As part of the ongoing combat readiness inspection of the Armed Forces, the State Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus assesses, among other things, the level of physical fitness of the personnel of a separate mechanized battalion.

On the third day, the guards of the inspected unit performed pull-ups on the horizontal bar.

This stage of the inspection allows for an objective assessment of the physical endurance and readiness of military personnel to perform their duties.

As part of the large-scale combat readiness inspection of the Armed Forces, control classes on physical training were conducted. In accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Belarus, 2 standards were included in the control classes: for strength – pull-ups on the horizontal bar, and for endurance – a 5-kilometre march as part of a unit.
