ATTENTION: FAKE

The Ministry of Forestry draws attention to the spread of fake information on certain internet portals stating that Belarusians are allegedly prohibited from self-collecting birch sap. This is not true.

As before, citizens have the right to independently collect sap themselves - this is stipulated in the Forest Code of the Republic of Belarus. To do this, you need to contact the nearest forestry office, where you will be advised on suitable areas for collection, sap gathering specifics, etc.

We ask citizens not to trust information prepared with reference to "abstract specialists" and to question such messages.

We also inform you that you can purchase birch sap at a symbolic price, already collected, at company-owned trading platforms, on the territory of administrative buildings of forestry enterprises and forestries, and in other designated places.
