In the current year, the number of bicycle thefts has increased within the Lepel district. To prevent bicycle thefts, the Internal Affairs Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee recommends the following:
- Do not leave your bicycle unattended on the landing, near entrances or shops, near administrative buildings, or in basements;
- Purchase an anti-theft device for your bicycle and use it when leaving your two-wheeled companion unattended;
- Do not rely on intercoms installed in entrances; intruders may gain access to the entrance and steal your bicycle;
- Do not let strangers into your entrance;
- Do not leave your bicycle in a basement;
- Assist children and elderly people in transporting their bicycles to a safe storage location;
- If you notice suspicious individuals near your home, entrance, or shop who are showing interest in an unattended bicycle, immediately report it to the police.
