A false message is circulating on Telegram about alleged planned attacks on schools in Gomel. Anonymous users list school numbers and write: "There are 20 of us, the POLICE won't catch us."

Why is this a fake? Firstly, the text contains obvious inconsistencies: there is no police in Belarus – we have militia.

Secondly, the message completely copies the style of fakes that were already circulated in 2022–2024 in Russia and each time turned out to be disinformation (see screenshot).

Malicious actors have acted the same way before and are acting the same way now: they start the text with the words "We'll say right away where we're going...", then list educational institutions, followed by the usual threats: "In these schools, ... will happen." And at the end – the standard phrase: "there are many of us, we are not afraid of the police." As you can see, the fake creators do not bother to create new texts – everything is repeated, only the cities and frightening pictures in the posts change.

The purpose of such provocations is to sow panic and fear. Channels of this type are quickly blocked by Telegram administration, but screenshots continue to circulate in parent chats and messengers, accumulating rumors.

What is important to remember: Stop forwarding such fakes. Do not give in to panic – this is exactly what the fake creators aim for. All such groups and messages are under the close control of law enforcement agencies.

The safety of our children is the absolute priority of the state. All such disinformation is tracked and verified by law enforcement agencies.
