17 March, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. A Mercedes driver fatally hit a pedestrian in Vitebsk district. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by an officer of the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. The accident occurred on the evening of March 16. The driver of a Mercedes, while driving, did not notice a pedestrian born in 1977, who was walking on the roadway. The pedestrian was wearing reflective elements. The driver did not leave the scene of the accident after the collision. The cause of the incident is being investigated. In total, over the past day, 5 registered road traffic accidents occurred, in which one person died and five were injured. -0-
