Since the beginning of the current year, 17 road traffic accidents involving minors have been registered in the Vitebsk region (20 in 2021), in which 1 child died (3 in 2021), and 16 children were injured (18 in 2021), 4 of whom were child passengers.

In this regard, on July 28, the traffic police department of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs will conduct a set of preventive measures "Driver, remember, you are also a parent!", aimed at promoting the use of special child restraint systems when transporting minor passengers in vehicles.

Raid groups will be organised to monitor compliance with the rules for transporting minor passengers in vehicles.
