The Council of Ministers has resolved to declare "Slavgorodsky" a republican wetland reserve in the Slavgorod district of the Mogilev region, encompassing forest fund lands of the state forestry institution "Krasnopolsky Leskhoz" (8622 ha), part of the land of the Starinsky forestry, agricultural lands of OJSC "Zheleznsky AGRO" (55.48 ha), OJSC "Lesnyansky Agro" (480.93 ha), OJSC "Prisozhye" (1531.92 ha), agricultural production cooperative "Nasha Rodina" (395.99 ha), OJSC "Urechansky" (235.65 ha), communal agricultural unitary enterprise "Gizhinki-Agro" (522.93 ha), and reserve lands (2934.43 ha).
The document approves the boundaries, area, and composition of the reserve lands. The object itself has been transferred to the management of the Slavgorod District Executive Committee. The financing of the operation and protection of the "Slavgorodsky" reserve, as well as measures related to its establishment, will be carried out from local budgets and other sources not prohibited by legislation.
The Slavgorod District Executive Committee is instructed to ensure the registration of the newly formed territorial unit of Belarus – the republican wetland reserve "Slavgorodsky" – within six months, as well as the installation of special information signs along its boundaries.
This resolution enters into force upon its official publication.
