"The document is aimed at resolving the issue of increasing the level of pension provision for citizens who have been engaged in socially significant activities for a long time and for this reason could not accumulate the work record with payment of mandatory insurance contributions to the state non-budgetary fund required for the appointment of an old-age pension," the press service informed.
The Decree provides for a reduction in the duration of the work record with the payment of such contributions for citizens who have been caring for a Group I disabled person or a disabled child under the age of 18, as well as for persons who have reached the age of 80. This category of citizens will be entitled to an old-age labour pension if they have at least 10 years of insurance record and a general work record of at least 40 years for men and 35 years for women.
The duration of the work record with the payment of mandatory insurance contributions is also reduced for citizens who have served in the military (in militarized organizations) for a long time (at least 10 calendar years) but are not entitled to a pension under the legislation on pension provision for military personnel. The right to an old-age labour pension is to be granted to this category of citizens if they have at least 10 years of insurance record and a general work record of at least 25 years for men and 20 years for women.
