A charity event for children from an orphanage, with the participation of young women competing for the title "Queen Spring-2018", will be held today in Vitebsk. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the organizers.
Children aged 10-12, together with the contestants, will spend their time in a fun and educational way at the safety centre of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Centre staff will conduct a special quest with the guests, upon completion of which participants will acquire rescuer skills. After the adventures, the young women will treat the orphanage children to tea with homemade pastries. The contestants prepared the delicacies for the warm gathering themselves.
This event is one of the preparatory activities for the regional final show "Queen Spring - 2018", which will take place on March 22. A professional photo session, arena lasertag, and participation in the "Vecherniy Vitebsk" programme on regional television are also planned.
Eleven representatives from five higher education institutions of the region are participating in the current regional stage of the competition (five from the Vitebsk State Technological University, two each from the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov and the Academy of Veterinary Medicine, and one each from the Polotsk State University and the branch of the International University "MITSO").
The organizers of the regional competition "Queen Spring - 2018" are the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the NGO "BRSM" and the Vitebsk State Technological University.
