"The COVID-19 epidemic is a serious challenge and a kind of exam not only for Belarus but for the whole world," said Batyr Berdyklychev. "Currently, a second wave of incidence is observed. It is expected that this so-called second wave will be severe. This places a huge burden on both the healthcare system and the country's economy as a whole. This problem is relevant for all countries."
As for Belarus, according to him, the situation is being managed here. "An important task of the country's healthcare system is to provide the necessary medical care so that all people in need can receive it in a timely manner. A great deal of work is being done in the healthcare system for this, and today the system is capable of coping with the increasing workload," he said.
Regarding the criticism of the Belarusian approach to fighting coronavirus, Batyr Berdyklychev noted that there are certain aspects, not always medical, that require additional attention, but at the same time, a huge amount of work is being done by the healthcare system and medical workers of the country, and this is important to acknowledge.-0-
