On July 27, Slonim /Elena Stasyukevich - BELTA/. Outreach receptions and meetings are a good way to establish feedback with the public. This opinion was expressed to journalists by Vladimir Potupchik, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, today in Slonim. Here he held a personal reception of citizens, as well as a meeting with the staff of OJSC "Slonim Worsted Spinning Mill", reports a BELTA correspondent. "People come to such meetings and receptions with their pressing concerns. Live communication allows us to learn firsthand not only about a specific problem, but also about what concerns people in general," said Vladimir Potupchik. He noted that the Slonim district has a good practice of interaction between local authorities and the public. The Chairman of the Executive Committee and other management staff, in accordance with the relevant regulatory documents, hold regular receptions and try to resolve the issues of applicants promptly whenever possible. Thus, today at the Slonim District Executive Committee, simultaneously with the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic, the head of the district was receiving citizens. Visitors who had registered for an appointment with local authorities and were dissatisfied with the response were invited to also approach the parliamentarian. However, there were none. "This means that the local authorities are successfully resolving issues at their level," emphasized the parliamentarian. The issues addressed to Vladimir Potupchik mainly concerned situations where solutions had not been found for a long time. The reasons for this may have been previous errors and shortcomings, conflicts of interest, or differing interpretations of regulatory acts. Each issue has been taken under control, the necessary work will be carried out, and people will receive answers. The parliamentarian noted that for most issues, it is likely that reasonable compromise solutions will be found that will satisfy all parties. -0-
