This is stated in the welcome address of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the participants of the Belarusian Investment Forum, which opened today in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), reports BELTA correspondent. The greeting was read by the Vice Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov. Energy, transport, tourism, the creation of new science-intensive industries, industry, and agriculture are of particular priority for our country. "I am sincerely glad that we have managed to attract such an authoritative business audience to this event. We view your participation in the forum as evidence of the growing interest of foreign business in the Republic of Belarus, which we will actively support," the welcome address states. Belarus's advantageous geographical location, stable economic situation, high human potential, as well as economic growth, and dynamic improvement of the investment climate are just some of the characteristics inherent in modern Belarus. "The legislation of our state guarantees the protection of investments, the free disposal of profits earned, and favorable conditions for investors," Alexander Lukashenko notes in his greeting. "I am confident that the forum will become a starting point for a number of serious projects that are beneficial to investors and aimed at developing the economy of Belarus and improving the well-being of Belarusian citizens." -0-
