The meeting between President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam took place at the Palace of Independence, BELTA correspondent reports.

The negotiations were preceded by an official welcoming ceremony, including the performance of the national anthems of both countries and the participation of an honour guard company.

The negotiations at the Palace of Independence were held in both narrow and expanded formats. They discussed the development of strategic cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam in key areas of the economy, politics, and humanitarian sphere.

The discussion primarily focused on filling the roadmap for cooperation development between Belarus and Vietnam with specific projects. The agenda included prospects for further joint work across a wide range of areas.

Following the leaders' negotiations, a number of documents were signed, designed to solidify the strategic nature of bilateral cooperation.
