3 August, Dubrovno /Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. Meetings with people and visits to work collectives provide an opportunity to establish feedback and assess the correctness of the steps taken by the leadership of ministries and departments for the country's development. This opinion was expressed today to journalists, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent, by the Chairman of the State Control Committee Alexander Yakobson following a meeting with the work collective of OJSC "Dubrovno Flax Mill".
Communication with work collectives also allows for determining the real situation at enterprises directly on the ground and seeing how the difficult financial and economic situation is being overcome there, the head of the control department noted. "People will always tell the truth, as a rule, they will not hesitate to express their opinions, remarks, and criticise, if necessary, both their leaders and local authorities," Alexander Yakobson is confident, adding that people just need to be encouraged to have an open conversation.
The meeting with the collective of the Dubrovno Flax Mill made an exclusively positive impression on the head of the SCC. "Despite the existing difficulties, people look to the future with optimism and make plans, as they believe that all difficulties are surmountable," Alexander Yakobson shared his impressions. At the same time, he has no doubt that together we will get out of this rather difficult situation.
Another goal of Alexander Yakobson's visit to the enterprise was to study the work experience and production problems of flax fibre at the Dubrovno Flax Mill. Unfortunately, not everything is going well in the flax industry in Belarus in recent years, the head of the SCC noted. "The Dubrovno Flax Mill is one of the most stable and strong enterprises in Belarus, it has an experienced manager, so it is important to hear the point of view of practitioners on the existing problems in the industry," Alexander Yakobson emphasised. Moreover, despite its technical equipment and rich experience, the enterprise operates with negative profitability, so it is necessary to study all factors influencing this state of affairs for making management decisions for the industry as a whole, the head of the SCC added.
