17 May, Minsk /Yulia Vanina - BELTA/. The university admission campaign in Belarus will conclude on August 6. This was announced to a BELTA correspondent by the First Deputy Minister of Education, Alexander Zhuk. He noted that "until the end of September, there may still be additional enrollment of applicants who did not pass the competition for vacant state-funded or fee-paying places, in the event that some of the admitted applicants do not commence their studies within the established period." Alexander Zhuk emphasized that the competition and enrollment will be conducted with maximum transparency. The lists of admitted students will contain information about the number of points scored and the benefits provided. The admission procedure for applicants enrolled in educational institutions on a fee-paying basis is uniform for all universities, applying to both state-owned and private institutions. A specialist training agreement is concluded after the university's admission committee makes a decision on enrollment and serves as the basis for issuing an order to enroll first-year students. First-year students can pay for their tuition only after the order is issued. The payment period is at least 15 calendar days from the date of signing the agreement, as some applicants may need to arrange and obtain a loan for tuition payment. "Last year, several universities violated this procedure, so this year this process will be under special control," noted Alexander Zhuk. For universities of law enforcement agencies, the deadlines for submitting documents, entrance examinations, and enrollment are set from July 9 to July 24; for universities of the Ministry of Culture, from July 9 to July 28. Applicants who have passed the entrance examinations, to participate in the competition for full-time, part-time, and evening forms of education on a fee-paying basis, must submit their documents by July 27. In the second wave of universities, the admission campaign will take place from July 16 to August 6. For all forms of education (except for agricultural universities), documents are submitted from July 16 to July 25, and for military faculties, from July 16 to July 23.
