June 5, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. The second permanent arbitration court has been registered in the Vitebsk region. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Supreme Economic Court (SEC). The court is registered at the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. The panel of arbitrators includes highly qualified specialists with many years of experience in the legal field. The SEC explained that an arbitration court is an organization established to resolve disputes, which is not part of the judicial system of Belarus. The parties independently decide whether to choose a state or an arbitration court to resolve a dispute. However, arbitration proceedings may be more preferable because they allow for faster and less costly resolution of the dispute. Arbitration proceedings have a number of undeniable advantages: firstly, the process of dispute resolution in an arbitration court is more democratic; secondly, the number of arbitrators is determined by the agreement of the parties; thirdly, the consideration of disputes in an arbitration court is confidential and not bound by rigid procedural rules. An arbitration court considers disputes only if there is an arbitration agreement, which must be in writing. The agreement can be concluded by drawing up a separate document signed by the parties to the arbitration agreement, or by exchanging messages using postal services or other means of communication. The decision of the arbitration court is binding on the parties and is subject to enforcement within the period and timeframe established by this decision, or within three days from the date it enters into legal force, if such a timeframe is not established by the decision. The legislation provides for measures to secure a claim filed with an arbitration court; appeal of the arbitration court's decision; and its compulsory enforcement. Compulsory enforcement of an arbitration court's decision is carried out by state courts in accordance with the rules of enforcement proceedings established by the civil procedural or economic procedural legislation of Belarus.-0-
