The application submission deadlines are set by the Resolution of the Ministry of Education of March 14, 2016, No. 13, as reported to BelTA correspondent by the press secretary of the Ministry of Education, Yulia Borodun.
According to her, entrance examinations in the form of the Centralised Testing (CT) have concluded in Belarus, and most applicants have already collected their CT certificates from the testing centres.
The next stage is the submission of documents to higher education institutions. The acceptance of documents for state-funded places in full-time (daytime, evening) or distance learning forms in state higher education institutions will be held from July 8 to July 14. Compared to 2015, these deadlines have been shortened by 1 day (the acceptance of documents for state-funded places concluded on July 15).
Entrance examinations conducted directly at educational institutions (for creative specialties, physical education, as well as for applicants seeking higher education on an accelerated basis based on secondary vocational education) will commence on July 15. All entrance examinations are organised in a single session, both for individuals applying for state-funded places and for fee-paying places. Individuals taking internal entrance examinations at a higher education institution, regardless of whether they are applying for state-funded or fee-paying places, must submit their documents by July 14.
Enrollment for state-funded places will be completed by July 24 (by July 22 for law enforcement institutions, and by July 28 for creative institutions).
Deadlines for additional enrollment for state-funded places in full-time and distance learning forms (in 2015, additional enrollment was announced only for full-time form) that remain unfilled after the main enrollment have been established. The acceptance of documents for vacant state-funded places during the additional enrollment in full-time and distance learning forms in most higher education institutions will take place from July 26 to July 28. By July 25, all information regarding the availability of vacant places for additional enrollment will be posted on the websites of the higher education institutions.
The deadlines for submitting documents, conducting interviews, and enrolling in vacant state-funded and fee-paying places for citizens of Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine have been regulated (in accordance with Decree of the President of Belarus No. 420 of August 30, 2014). Citizens of Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine will participate in the competition for vacant state-funded places simultaneously with citizens of Belarus within the framework of additional enrollment - from July 26 to July 31. Citizens of Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine will be able to participate in the competition for higher education on a fee-paying basis, as provided for citizens of the Republic of Belarus, from July 8 to October 15.
The submission of documents for fee-paying education in full-time (daytime, evening) or part-time, including distance learning, forms in state and private higher education institutions for applicants who are not taking internal entrance examinations at the institution will be carried out from July 8 to August 1.
The enrollment deadlines for fee-paying education for citizens of Belarus have been extended by 1 day - from August 2 to August 4 (in 2015 - from August 3 to August 4), which will allow higher education institutions to conduct higher quality work on concluding training agreements with applicants. The admission campaign to higher education institutions will conclude on August 4 - the last day of enrollment on a fee-paying basis.
This year, it is planned to admit more than 63.7 thousand applicants to higher education institutions of Belarus, 40.2 thousand to secondary vocational education institutions, and 32.6 thousand to vocational training institutions.
