In 2018, as part of the second stage of the "Social Housing Construction" Project, aimed at international cooperation with the People's Republic of China, the construction of a 40-apartment residential building on Kalinin Street in Lepel was completed. The completion of construction allowed for the commissioning of 40 social use premises with a total area of 2,304 sq. meters.
A 40-apartment residential building at 38A Sovetskaya Street in Lepel, with a total area of 2,266 sq.m., has been commissioned. In this residential building, 8 large families improved their housing conditions. They were provided with 9 apartments with a total area of 535.05 sq. meters.
Considering the increasing importance of heat and energy saving in Lepel and the district, it is planned to continue the construction of energy-efficient residential buildings with heat energy consumption for heating and ventilation corresponding to energy efficiency classes A+, A, and B.
In 2018, the construction of a "40-apartment residential building on Sovetskaya Street, 38B in Lepel" with a total area of 1,985 sq. meters was commenced.
For 2019, the construction of the following facilities is planned:
"60-apartment prefabricated residential building in Borovka village, Borovskoye rural council, Lepel district" with a total area of 3,711 sq. meters;
"40-apartment residential building on Sovetskaya Street, 38V in Lepel" with a total area of 2,266 sq. meters.
The issue of constructing an apartment building in Domzheritsy village, Domzheritskoye rural council, is being considered for the future. Within the framework of a pilot project, the construction of this residential building is planned to utilize electrical energy for heating, hot water supply, and cooking.

Within the framework of the investment agreement implementation, the construction of a retail facility with an area of approximately 400 square meters, including a sales area of over 200 square meters, is planned to commence in 2019 on Voykova Street in Lepel. The investor is "Santa Retail" LLC. Representatives of the retail chain position the future store as a retail outlet offering a universal range of high-quality food products at affordable prices.
In addition to the construction of socially significant facilities, particular attention was paid in 2018 to existing districts of individual housing development. This work will be continued in 2019.
Work is ongoing to create the minimally necessary engineering and transport infrastructure in areas of individual housing development to ensure comfortable living for citizens in the vicinity of Magistralnaya and Avtodromnaya streets in Lepel.
In the area of Berezinskaya Street and Rechnoy Lane in Lepel, extensive work is underway on the construction of water supply networks. Furthermore, water supply network construction will also be carried out in the residential area of Parkovaya Street in the agro-town of Bolshoy Polsvizh, Lepel Village Council, Lepel District.
In 2019, work is planned for the construction of water supply networks in the village of Sharkovka, Lepel Village Council, Lepel District.
To promote individual housing construction, the Lepel District Executive Committee has planned the development of the urban planning documentation "Detailed Plan for the Western District" in Lepel for 2019. This will enable the allocation of land plots in quantities corresponding to the stated public demand.
