Alexander Atyasov noted that during the election campaign, the commission will perform difficult and very responsible work – organizing the elections and monitoring compliance with the law. "All decisions must be made collegially, based on the Constitution and laws of Belarus. The commission must act only under these conditions," emphasized the chairman of the regional council.
He noted that the presidential election is the most important political campaign in the state, determining the country's policy and development directions, and the fate of its citizens.
At the organizational meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Commission for the Election of the President, the chairman, his deputy, and the secretary were elected. These positions were taken by Dmitry Khoma (Director of the Vitebsk Olympic Reserve School), Zoya Krot, and Svetlana Ilyushchenko, respectively. The commission consists of 13 members in total.
At the first meeting of the commission, a duty schedule was established. From July 23, the commission will operate from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00 on weekdays, and from 10:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays. The commission is located in Vitebsk at Pravdy Street, 18.
