On December 21, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus are planned for September 2012. This was announced today to journalists by the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, Lidiya Yarmoshyna, who is participating in the session of the Council of the Republic, BelTA reports. "The powers of the current parliament expire on October 25, therefore, elections must be held no later than September 25. It is planned that the campaign will be in September and will start in June," noted the Chairperson of the CEC. Lidiya Yarmoshyna noted that the next year will be very challenging for her and the Central Election Commission. "The parliamentary election campaign is the most complex, it is more intensive than the presidential one. Perhaps because there are more disputes and complaints from candidates than, for example, during presidential elections," she said. According to her, the guarantee of fair elections is the honesty and integrity of the work of the election commissions. "I believe in their potential, I have no reason to doubt them," emphasized the Chairperson of the CEC. -0-
