Heavy snowfall hit the Lepel district in late November. In an effort to clear snowdrifts, some residents, particularly those with private properties, began to remove and dump snow onto the roadway. This is strictly prohibited!

— Dumping snow onto the roadway is unsafe and, moreover, it is a violation of the regulations for public amenities. According to clause 33 of the Regulations for Public Amenities and Maintenance of Populated Areas, the formation of snowbanks within public transport stops, pedestrian crossings, at intersections, as well as
the movement of snow, including by vehicles, from the roadside
onto the roadway is not permitted. Furthermore, I would like to note that violating these regulations entails administrative liability and the imposition of a fine, commented Alexander Molchanov, Deputy Director of KUPP "Borovka".
In addition, dumping snow onto the roadway significantly impacts road safety. It obstructs the visibility for pedestrians and vehicle drivers.
