Litter is the most visible trace of human presence in nature. When we leave household waste behind, we do not consider that this litter contains various chemical compounds that poison our land, water, and air, and also harm our health.
Litter left after outdoor recreation should be taken away or transported with you, and disposed of in a designated collection, sorting, and disposal site. If possible, it is also important to clean up litter left by other people, especially plastic and glass waste.
All citizens must remember that in case of pollution of forests and other woody and shrubby vegetation, administrative liability is incurred under Article 16.22 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, the sanction of which provides for a fine of up to ten base units.
We also remind you that the Rules for Fishing and Fishery of the Republic of Belarus state that anglers engaged in amateur fishing are obliged to maintain proper sanitary conditions of fishing grounds and not to leave litter and other waste on their banks.
When arriving for fishing by car, it must be parked at a distance of at least 30 meters from the shoreline of the water body. Citizens who come to fishing grounds simply for recreation should also clean up after themselves and treat our natural resources with care.
