An outreach reception for citizens on issues of labor legislation and state social support for the population will be held on February 28 in Dokshytsy (Vitebsk region). This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the press secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Varvara Alexandrovich. The outreach reception will be held at the Dokshytsy District Executive Committee from 11:00 to 14:00 for residents of Dokshytsy, Postavy and Sharkovshchina districts of the Vitebsk region. The reception will be conducted by Irina Shilyaeva, Deputy Director of the Department of State Labor Inspectorate, and a representative of the Department of State Social Support for the Population of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. During the personal reception of citizens, a direct telephone line will also be organized. Questions and proposals can be submitted on the same day by phone at 802157-2-15-45 from 11:00 to 14:00. "Any resident of the three named districts of the Vitebsk region has the right to contact the outreach reception to resolve their pressing issues related to labor legislation and state social support," noted Varvara Alexandrovich. "Every appeal is considered with the utmost attention." All applicants receive qualified consultations from specialists on issues of contract employment systems, salary payment terms, vacations, hiring and dismissal, labor protection, remuneration, as well as on social assistance and social services, and other issues of state support for the population. During the reception, appeals are given a professional legal assessment, mechanisms for resolving the issues are determined, and citizens are promptly assisted in resolving a particular problem. The first stage of the "Outreach Reception-2012" campaign was held in January for residents of Berestovitsky and Svislochsky districts of the Grodno region. This form of work with citizens, involving ministry specialists and media representatives, has proven to be highly effective and in demand among the population, believes Varvara Alexandrovich. The project was launched in March 2007, and last year 12 stages of outreach receptions were held in all regions of the country. In 2011, 167 people received legal assistance (in 2010 – 105).
