Svetlana Polyachenko, Head of the Economics Department of the District Executive Committee, reported on the results with which the Lepel region is concluding the year. "The industrial complex remains the key area of economic growth for the district, accounting for over 60% of the revenue. The growth rate of industrial production compared to the corresponding period last year is 104.6%.
The district shows positive dynamics in retail trade turnover. The growth rate of retail trade turnover was 106.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
Based on the results of January-November 2024, 11 organisations were established. Enterprises were created in the fields of manufacturing, retail trade, transport, public catering, and performing arts.
A positive trend in wage growth is maintained, which is the most important indicator determining the quality of life of the district's population. The growth rate of the nominal accrued average monthly wage across the district's organisations for January-October 2024 compared to the same period last year was 121.9%".
