Pupils of the 9th and 11th grades from 342 schools in the Vitebsk region will prepare for final examinations, which will be held from June 1 to June 9. Out of the total number of educational institutions in the region, 252 provide secondary education. These include, in addition to schools, gymnasiums, a lyceum, cadet schools, as well as educational and pedagogical complexes, which are kindergartens - secondary schools. There are also 78 basic schools operating in the Vitebsk region.

"In the Vitebsk region, over 10 thousand students will complete the ninth grade, and about 5.3 thousand eleventh-graders will become secondary school graduates. As of the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year, there were 598 ninth and 282 eleventh grades in the region. The last bell will ring in all schools of the region on May 29, and the academic year will end on May 31. On the first day of summer, final examinations for students of the 9th and 11th grades will begin. Graduates of the region will receive certificates and diplomas in a solemn ceremony on June 10," said Vladimir Bednyakov.

Regarding the holding of graduation parties in the region's educational institutions, the decision rests with their heads. It is recommended to hold solemn assemblies and last bells in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. A virucidal regime, involving antiviral and disinfectant treatment, will also be observed during the examination period.
