In accordance with the Resolution of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus dated December 24, 2013, No. 135, as well as the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated July 15, 2011, No. 954, vocational training for pupils of basic forms of secondary schools has been organised in the Lepel district. Recently, the students successfully passed the first stage of the exam – a practical skills test, where they had to complete a practical assignment. Last Tuesday, the final theoretical stage took place, which I had the opportunity to attend.
A slight tension was already felt upon entering the classroom. The examinees' faces showed signs of nervousness. The event was also a source of anxiety for the commission members.
— For us, the qualification exam is a serious test. We are probably more nervous than our students, as today we will see the result of our work, — commented Natalia Baranova, Deputy Director for Educational Work at the Lepel State Agrarian-Technical College.
The exam was held in two classrooms of educational building No. 3, and accordingly, two examination commissions were formed. The boys were to obtain the qualification of a first-category fitter for the repair of agricultural machinery and equipment, and the girls – a fourth-category sales assistant. No more than fifteen minutes per student was allocated for the exam based on the results of theoretical training. A twenty-minute limit was set for preparing the answer.

Observing the graduates, I noticed their confidence. The essence of the questions, as noted by the commission members, was fully addressed. Without hesitation, the eleventh-formers also answered the teachers' additional questions. All the requirements of the curriculum documentation were met properly, therefore it can be confidently stated that the pupils of the 11th "B" form of Secondary School No. 3
